Beautiful people, dressed fashionably, beating the living shit out of each other, in exotic locations.\u00a0 And that\u2019s pretty much the movie.<\/p>\n
Seriously, do you need anything else?\u00a0 I grudgingly noticed a plot.\u00a0 Actually that\u2019s not fair.\u00a0 Steven Soderbergh lays out a pretty nice spy story.\u00a0 I say nice because it makes sense, its not overly complex (in the sense that it doesn\u2019t interfere with the visceral feel of the action), it flows quickly, and makes sense.<\/p>\n
However, the reason the asses are in the seats is the action.\u00a0 And rightly so.\u00a0 The action is this movie is BRUTAL.\u00a0 When I say people beat the shit out of each other, in some cases I\u2019m being literal.\u00a0 Gina Carano (best known for getting her shit tossed by the cyborg in Strikeforce\u2026also I suppose her Maxim spread raised some eyebrows [she is grade A meat]) is an independent intelligence contractor who is betrayed by the men who hired here (the US government\u2026\u00a0 Or is it?).\u00a0 And she is framed for a murder in Spain and has to knock the fuck out of a bunch of people in order to clear her name.<\/p>\n
Aside from Carano (who, all kidding aside, is a legit action star in this role, also she’s sporting a 10 point ass which never hurts) the film sees a great performance by Channing Tatum (no, I\u2019m actually serious).\u00a0 And supporting the two pieces of meat are Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Michael Fassbender, Bill Paxton, and Antonio Bandaras.\u00a0 Yeah.<\/p>\n
Think your basic mission impossible plot with \u00be of the dialogue removed, no special gadgets, no wire fighting, and no cgi.\u00a0 Then crank up the raw violence by a power of 10.<\/p>\n
Note: at least one rather brutal fight is pretty hot.\u00a0 You will become aroused.\u00a0 But unlike me you\u2019ll probably hate yourself.\u00a0 And you ought to, you sick bastard.<\/p>\n
