So Mission Impossible has a 4th<\/sup> installment.\u00a0 And it\u2019s directed by Brad Bird!!\u00a0 This is in keeping with tradition on the franchise of having a completely new and proven director for each separate film.\u00a0 Maybe they\u2019ll finally let Brad do his San Francisco earthquake movie.\u00a0 He\u2019s put in his time.<\/p>\n

Anyway, somebody\u2019s framed Ethan Hunt (Tommy Cruise of Legend fame) for something (for like the 3rd<\/sup> time, weird) and he has a team of disavowed agents and must fix whatever it is (must have missed it) before the Russians (?) destroy the world.<\/p>\n

Ok, so let\u2019s not pay too much attention to the plot.\u00a0 There are good guys and bad guys and they\u2019re all hot and they\u2019re going to fight in expensive clothing for your viewing pleasure.\u00a0 That\u2019s really all you need to know.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Renner plays a totally pointless character who is in the movie for no reason.\u00a0 Still like him though, he\u2019s underutilized in less serious roles.<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s a couple of hot chicks (one good and one bad) who fight each other (yes!).<\/p>\n

And Simon Pegg reprising his role from Star Trek, wait that can\u2019t be right\u2026<\/p>\n

Anyway, there is one freakishly cool part where Tommy has to climb the world\u2019s tallest building (in Dubai).\u00a0 Some really good shots there that make the ballsack retract a little.<\/p>\n

Keep your eyes peeled for the guy who headlined the original Girl with the Dragon Tatoo.\u00a0 He\u2019s a bad guy.\u00a0 Well, I\u2019m pretty sure he\u2019s a bad guy.\u00a0 Whatever.<\/p>\n

Anyway, this is a fun light nothing with some great camera work and decent special effects.\u00a0 You just won\u2019t remember much of it when it\u2019s over.\u00a0 Which may be for the best.<\/p>\n
